The site of this museum sat in an already halfway demolished historical block. I propose to preserve the existed ones and make use of the torn down materials. The whole site will be dug as a continuous museum space underground. The ground level serves as a park. The road going through the block changes to a “canyon”, creates one side the entrance lobby for the museum.
Titled “Build by Ruins”, the project aims to deliver a message that nothing is really new. See the second drawing for more design process.
